The ranch
Nestled outside of Bellvue, Colorado, Sky Corral Ranch is surrounded by some of the nation’s most breathtaking forests for intimate seclusion.
Rooted in the traditions of a 1950s working dude ranch, Sky Corral has been a cornerstone of Rist Canyon for more than half a century. With the generosity of the Northern Colorado Community Foundation, it has transformed into a nonprofit retreat and event facility—serving youth groups, organizations, and teams seeking an accessible wilderness escape.
Accommodations
Sky Corral Ranch offers lodging for up to 50 overnight guests, with nine guest rooms in the Bill and Avis Ward Lodge and two private cabins. This intimate setting provides the perfect backdrop for overnight events—whether youth retreats, family reunions, or corporate gatherings.
All rooms include a mix of private and shared bathrooms for comfort and convenience, and two ADA-accessible rooms are available on the lodge’s first floor.
To make your stay stress-free, towels, linens, pillows, and blankets are provided for every guest.
Dining
At Sky Corral Ranch, meals are part of the experience. Whether you’re hosting a corporate retreat, a youth camp, or a family reunion, our community dining hall is ready to welcome your group. Enjoy shared meals and connection while taking in breathtaking views through the hall’s large portrait windows.
Guests are welcome to bring and prepare their own meals using our fully equipped kitchen for storage and prep. For groups who prefer a hands-off experience, hosted dining or catering options are available at an additional cost—and we’re happy to help tailor the menu to fit your group’s needs.
Activities
Sky Corral Ranch offers a wide range of on-site activities to enhance your retreat, enrich your programming, and create unforgettable shared experiences. With our Create Your Adventure approach, organizers can blend their own agenda with the activities available on the property.

Enander Community Building
With sweeping hillside views of the lake and surrounding mountains, our Meeting Hall is the perfect setting for indoor gatherings—from corporate presentations and workshops to family celebrations and group activities. Featuring a spacious outdoor deck, projection screens, digital projectors, a full sound system, and ADA-accessible entry, it offers everything you need to make your event seamless, comfortable, and memorable.
Outdoor Patio
With panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and our peaceful fishing lake, the Outdoor Patio invites guests to pause and take in the beauty of Sky Corral Ranch. It’s an ideal space for small-group activities, breakout sessions, or quiet moments between events—complete with plentiful seating and a front-row seat to nature’s backdrop.
Family Room
Small groups – or breakaway sessions from larger gatherings – enjoy the intimacy of our family room. The sunken room in our main lodge is cozy enough to keep meetings feeling friendly, and with a wood-burning stove, is a perfect place to curl up and hibernate
